Faith, Amazing Dog With Two Legs

Let's start new year 2017 with Good Post.

Happy New Year 2017

Faith's life was saved at the early age of only three weeks from his guard dog mother who was literally terminating her life because she was unable to battle the other puppies for a place to feed. She was born with only three legs and one of them that was seriously deformed had to be surgically removed. The poor dog had to adapt and learn to walk and hop on two legs.

The Most Amazing Sand Sculptures - Amazing Photos

Carl Jara aka Grain Damaged is an award-winning, professional sand sculptor from Cleveland, Ohio. Jara says he has known since high-school that he wanted to be an artist. After studying Illustration and Graphic Design at the Myers School of Art, Jara realized he did not want to become an illustrator or graphic designer and that his true passion was sculpting.

Over nine world championships later and it’s clear Jara was right to pursue his desire to sculpt. In addition, Carl is also an Exhibits Artisan/Technician at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History where he helped install Sue, the largest T-Rex ever found.

To see more of Carl’s incredible sand sculptures, be sure to check out his Flickr page as he documents not only his own award-winning work, but also the other amazing entries at the world-class competitions he attends every year.

Glow in the Dark Bike Lanes are Being Tested in Poland - Solar-Powered

Solar-powered, glow in the dark bike lanes are currently being tested near Lidzbark Warminski in the north of Poland. When fully charged, the synthetic material can provide up to 10 hours of light according to the material’s creators, TPA Instytut BadaÅ„ Technicznych Sp. z o.o.

The project, while similar in concept to Studio Roosegaarde’s Starry Night Bike Lane, differs in the technology used, as Studio Roosegaarde’s was LED-powered and temporary.

The project is still in the testing phase and it will be interesting to see if the material proves viable for bike paths and other public uses.

Amazing Macro Photography - 5

Macro photography is also known as close-up photography. Macro photography means that the image on film is approximately the same size as the subject. It is a type of photography that reveals details which can’t be seen with the naked eye. While we can see a fly on the wall, our eyes are not appointed to make out the fine details of the hairs on its face. It gives us a glimpse into the world of the very small, which goes unnoticed as we hurriedly shuffle through our day. In this showcase, I’ve collected some beautiful macro photos.
