The world needs to take notes from countries that treat women like princesses

“No country for women” – I kept hearing from people. You have heard it too, haven’t you? Lies, all lies. All countries of all continents are for us to inhabit, to nurture and to help them prosper.

But some countries are just a little bit better than others, or if I may say – a LOT better than other. There are these nations which prove themselves as a woman’s haven, they pamper and spoil their girl and promise the best things in life.

Here are 9 countries, where to be born a woman means to walk through the gates of a lifelong carnival.

Sweden

U.S. News & World Report ranks Sweden as the best country to live in for women following a survey conducted on over 9000 women from 80 nations across the globe. With gender equality as one of its cornerstones, Sweden awards two-thirds of its university degrees to female students (by the way, these degrees are earned and not bestowed upon the fairer sex.) Both the parents are given 3 months of parental leave after child birth which prevents “caring for the baby” turning into a mother’s responsibility solely.

Norway
The next country to treat its women with all the respect and love is yet again from the beautiful continent of Europe. Norway ranks high in maintaining gender equality and allows its new mothers to choose from 35 weeks of paid leaves or 45 weeks at 80% of pay.

Ireland
Originally a conservative country, Ireland is now breaking out of the shackles of orthodox thinking and has paved the way for its women’s progress. Social norms in the country have seen promising changes making it one of the pleasantest countries for women.

France
Go to France to find a romantic lover or just to enjoy womanhood to its fullest. Another European nation to annihilate every possible gender discrimination off of the fabric of its society, France places itself pretty high on the list of countries with best living standards for women.

Switzerland
A country rich in scenic beauty prides itself on its empowering women’s rights. Switzerland granted its women complete political participation and its first female leader took to the President’s office way back in 1999. Swiss constitution vouches for equal pay. Abortion on request within 12 weeks of pregnancy is legal in the country and new mothers are entitled to prolonged paid leaves.

Germany
Germany not only pampers its women, but bestows German women with power in politics like no other country. Chancellor Angela Merkel is an unsurpassed image of women of authority, influence and dominance.

New Zealand
While the USA and the British stay busy claiming their superiority in modern civilization, it was New Zealand to be the first country ever to welcome women suffrage. Not only is the island country a leader is peacemaking but propagates gender equality as its fundamental priorities.

Australia
Close neighbor Australia isn’t very far from New Zealand in its treatment of women. If you have an affinity for sports then you must have observed the impressive level of participation of Australian women in such athletic activities. Move to this Oceanian country if you want to live longer for life expectancy of Australian women is higher than that in other geographies.

Canada
Perhaps the only country in the American continent to make the list, Canada is vigilant maintaining its women’s rights. The country’s foreign and domestic policies are shaped around the welfare of the women in its workforce and at home.
